A home for young migrant women, alone or with children, who are escapingextremely difficult situations and abuse.
Casa di Rut was started in Caserta in 1995. It’s the first stop in a line of many migrants must face when coming to another country, and this house offers women a second chance to be integrated in a new society. They offer medical assistance and help with the process of obtaining legal status in the country, they teach the women Italian and offer socialization and job training.
The Orsoline Sisters help women who are alone, or with children that are looking for a refuge from violent situations or situations of abuse and they offer them a concrete work opportunity, redemption and social integration. So that there is no weed that cannot turn into a flower.
The Angelo Affinita Foundation chose to support Casa di Rut and its guests in 2015 especially for their “adopt a mom and her child” program dedicated to pregnant women or women with young children who have found refuge from violence and abuse. Our help comes in the form of a semesterly financial contribution which guarantees everything necessary for a dignified like for mother and child and at the same time giving the child an education and helping him grow.
